Tapping Mature Talent
A "Conversations with GIA" webinar
This webinar looked at the number of adults 55 or older who participate in the labor force, and its expected rise by 43% by 2020. With support from Atlantic Philanthropies, the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) spent three years working with ten sites across the country to develop strategies to help older workers overcome obstacles and to change the perceptions and practices of business, higher education and the public workforce system toward older adults. This webinar discussed some of the effective strategies and the recommendations for change that emerged. Presenters: Phyllis Snyder, Vice President of the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning; and Stacey Easterling, Program Executive, U.S. Ageing, The Atlantic Philanthropies. Webinar date October 16, 2012. Watch it at https://youtu.be/MKPm9U25zz0.
