Improving America for all ages

Community AGEnda: Improving America for All Ages What's good for older adults is usually good for people of all ages. Older adults have a lot to offer their communities. Being age-friendly means being a great place to grow up and grow old.

Aging in place: it's what most people say they want to do. Unfortunately, many communities are not prepared for an aging population.

That's why GIA is pleased to partner with the Pfizer Foundation on an age-friendly initiative called Community AGEnda: Improving America for All Ages. Its goal: to help America's communities become great places to grow up and to grow old.

Community AGEnda has made grants to five communities to accelerate their age-friendly work.

We've also created resources to help funders, nonprofits, governments, planners, and citizens make any community more age-friendly.
