Rural Aging Workshop

Aging in Rural America: Creating a Sustainable Network to Improve the Experience

Workshop Background

This workshop took place during the 2016 Annual Conference. Foundation leaders presented an overview of their innovative strategies and on-the-ground programs building strengths for older adults in rural communities.

Participants then took part in high-level small-group discussions to more closely explore related ideas, challenges, and innovations with each other. Participants left with contacts, resources, and an invitation to become a part of the solution by joining a new network of funders concerned about improving the lives of older people in rural America.
