Friendly Places, Friendly Faces

The "Friendly Places, Friendly Faces" photo contest, which solicited images that express the experience and the benefits of an age-friendly community, received over 500 entries from 29 different countries and was part of GIA's age-friendly Community AGEnda initiative.

It was difficult to choose between such wonderful and varied submissions, but our panel of expert judges named a first, second, and third place winner in six categories and awarded the grand prize to the captivating photo below  of older adults working to keep fit at a city park in Kolkata, India, taken by Sudipto Das.
