Rural Aging Listserv

Share this:

The goal of the GIA Rural Aging Network listserv is to introduce Network members to one other, share best practices and new ideas, and promote new partnerships.

Subscribing or Unsubscribing

The GIA Rural Aging Network Listserv is open to anyone with an interest in the subject.

You can join by sending an email to Emily Baransy at GIA, ebaransy@GIAging.org

If you are already on the listserv but do not wish to be, you may unsubscribe at any time, using the link at the bottom of the email or sending an email with the subject line “Unsubscribe” to ruralaging-unsubcribe@lists.GIAging.org

How it works

Listserv messages arrive like regular emails. Replying works like regular email, too.

To send a new message to the listserv, simply write a normal email and send to this address: ruralaging@lists.GIAging.org. **This will go to everyone who is on the listserv.

Replies also work like regular email. Use "Reply" to write back only to the author of the a message. Use "Reply-ALL" to respond to the entire list. Please use your best judgment about whether the entire list will be interested or needed.

Attachments are possible but should be 7.5MB or smaller. If possible, include a link instead.

Tips and listserv etiquette

This service is intended for professional discussion. This means:

  • Sharing resources and news about your foundation or organization is fine.
  • Posing queries and holding discussions is fine.
  • Collegial manners and tone are appropriate and appreciated.
  • Please refrain from soliciting grants or direct program support.
  • Anything else (messages or replies that are mean, irrelevant, solicitation, etc.) can and will be deleted from the message chain by the manager, Emily Baransy.
  • You may inform Emily of anything inappropriate at ebaransy@GIAging.org or by phone at 703.413.0413

Help us pursue our mission and strengthen grantmaking to support the needs and potential of older people.
