Grantmakers In Aging is a membership association of funders; as such, GIA does not make grants to nonprofit organizations or provide assistance in finding funding sources.

Nonprofit grantseekers should consult the Foundation Center website for a searchable database providing funding opportunities by areas of interest and geographic location.

Grantseekers may also find an introduction to successful grant writing to foundations and corporate giving programs in this Powerpoint presentation, Successful Corporate and Foundation Fundraising for Nonprofits, offered by GIA's CEO, John Feather. This presentation discusses the differences between corporate and other types of foundations, common mistakes in proposal writing and pitching, the funder perspective, corporate citizenship, building relationships, and finding additional information resources.
