Sepsis, the body’s overwhelming and potentially deadly response to infection, is the number three cause of death in the United States, disproportionately impacting older adults. Black and Hispanic patients have a higher incidence of severe sepsis as compared to white patients.

Sepsis Alliance, along with its partners, The New York State Office for the Aging, the Association on Aging, the Home Care Association of New York State, and EndSepsis, works to reduce the impact and burden of sepsis, and to raise awareness among communities of older adults and the healthcare professionals who serve them in New York.

To expand nationally, Sepsis Alliance, along with its founding partners and national and state aging leaders, has established The Partnership for Sepsis and Aging (TPSA).  Join us to learn more about the partnership and opportunities for philanthropic investment, particularly well-suited to funders focused on healthcare disparities.
