Grantmakers In Aging is a community of funders mobilizing money and ideas to strengthen policies, programs, and resources for all of us as we age.
Our vision is a just and inclusive world where all people are fully valued, recognized, and engaged at all ages.
We value diversity of demographics and viewpoints, including but not limited to age, race, culture, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and disability status.
We value inclusion of people and groups that have been traditionally excluded from funding and decision-making.
We value equity, and seek to rectify structural and systemic injustices that benefit some groups and harm others.
We value action, and work to champion aging-related issues and investments.
We value collaboration, recognizing that funders, policymakers, advocates, and nonprofits can achieve more together than apart, and we do not prioritize the aging population at the expense of other populations.
We value age-integration, and work to bridge rather than further divide people of different ages.
We value integrity, holding ourselves accountable to our membership, to the philanthropic sector, and to older people.
We value learning, and are open to new ideas and perspectives.
